I know that the bristles are too hard for some. I had to get used to it, but now I never squirt anymore. It just takes practice. So why the 5 star rating? I really needed this toilet brush. I'm sure it's TMI, but you're reading a review of a toilet brush. My husband has health problems. One of the side effects is that it splatters feces all over the toilet. It's thick, rough and dries instantly. This is the only toilet brush that has actually cleaned my toilet in a reasonable amount of time. If your toilet doesn't get too dirty, you may not need this brush. If so, this brush is great.
