I usually shave with a straight razor, but sometimes I just don't have the time. I'm also far from a morning person, so sometimes a double-edged razor is the best tool for the job. for shaving. So I trawled through several DE razors in search of the perfect shave. Edwin Jagger's DE razors far outperform the Merkur 38 HD and Parker 99R and are fantastic. Where the other two still had a little resistance in my face, it really felt like there was no blade at all when using EJ Chatsworth. Honestly, I'm not sure what exactly makes this razor on my face that much better than the other two, but irritation, particularly on my neck, wasn't Edwin Jagger's fault. I have tried at least 5 different razor brands including Derby and Feather and they all seem to work better with this razor. All Edwin Jagger razors use the same head. So if you don't want to spend extra money on a fancy Chatsworth grip, the DE89 gives you exactly the same shave for less than half the price. I just bought this to fit on the handle of my badger brush.
