Review on πŸ”§ Rocaris 36Pcs Brass Steel Wire Brush Polishing Wheels Full Kit: Perfect for Rotary Tools by Carlos Damain

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The bristles will be flung out almost immediately if not cemented first!

As mentioned, the bristles fly out of the mandrel at a ridiculously slow rate, but to be honest real Dremel brushes don't last that long either. However, another reviewer (Geoffrey Paul) gave a great and funny tip: add cement to the bristles where they enter the mandrel and they'll last a lot longer! It used Duco cement but I had a couple of disposable tubes of super glue on hand so I tried squirting it into the mandrels and lo and behold it worked pretty well. A few bristles were still thrown out, but that was on a 70's Dremel that doesn't have speed control - basically always runs smoothly. The other problem with these brushes is that the same applies to the Dremel to a certain extent. Versions too - the bristles start breaking off as soon as they come into contact with the surface to be cleaned; in other words, they are not very durable. In fact, they're barely functional and last about 1/10th the time as the Dremel versions *after* gluing the bristles down (they literally don't last more than 1 second unless with cement), but considering you're 36 for what you get For the price of 2-3 genuine dremel brass brushes in a large store i would say that is a fair price. Not as good as the low price suggests, but good enough to deserve 3 stars. Oh, and make sure you wear safety goggles and check your shirt for built-in bristles after use.
