So on paper and on the RingBrothers website they seem great. They show it with their serious Boss 429 race car. However, they can't look that good in everyday driving, let alone racing. The aluminum is soft and the pulling in and out of the pins and the overall pressure of holding the hood will cause some wear. So don't expect the car to look like a show car in normal use. Also, these things are HUGE. I mean really huge, like we need to build a stud support to extend the radiator support. For example, to make and weld a whole block. Check out the photo showing the old hood pin overlay after trying to drill it and the new hood pin overlay with a solid pin. Last but not least, the pins come out of the groove and can completely loosen when moving. The small locking pins are not big enough. Stick to the old school variety!
