actually I would give 4.5. Electrically there is nothing wrong with the part, everything is fine. My issue was that there was absolutely no marking on them to tell what type of ears they were. I'm adding power mirrors to a truck that didn't come with them, so unplugging the bad and plugging in the good just didn't work for me. I searched the internet for pinouts and found 2 different ones but couldn't tell which pin was #1. I went to my mechanic friend and he gave me a third pin that was different from the other two. In the end I had to measure all combinations of contacts. This gave me an unused pin and a possible starting point. As soon as I thought I figured it out, I hooked up a dry cell battery and mirror to it. This confirmed that I had looked into the pins. It took a little head scratching. It's not a simple switch, it's six switches in one.
