These Pyle Subs are great. They need about a 2.3. Surprisingly, they still sound incredible. I have a custom 1.8 for each sub -Cuft port box made hoping it would be much better, the only thing I have learned with a lot of research and information is that these subwoofers are designed to be in a sealed box, rather than one with ports however I've seen people carry their boxes and say they sound fantastic I've had 2 of these subwoofers for a full year and they sound amazing I have a feeling they've gotten louder over the months and getting stronger, that's probably because my amp (2000w pyramid) isn't rated for 500w rms like he says it's only at 50 rms lol to go with my new box i ordered a new amp, the me should go even further in this direction. Hear how it will sound. I would highly recommend these subwoofers at least as a beginner or if you are on a budget 12s might even be a better option if you have a lot of space in your car. The box cutout increases significantly as the subwoofers get larger. I heard some Kicker Comp 12 kicks and they're pretty close behind them. I also have to keep in mind that I have a 10, the box is too small, and my amp sucks right now. All in all a great product!
