I think this controller gets a bad rap. Even though I mostly grew up with the Playstation, I don't understand why this controller isn't approved. Damn! It creates several lists of the worst controllers. Well, I'll tell you right now, no matter how open minded I am, because I didn't grow up with this thing, I really like it. I want to say that I like it, but I'll say so far. The only issues I have with this controller are the added bumpers. I understand they were added to give it a more modern look as the design and button layout are a bit dated. But if you want to be original, go original. To be honest, I don't mind that the button is laid out too wide. I thought the buttons were easy to reach, and the controller fell into my hands almost immediately. It was just nice to try something new (for me). Of course, it's bulky and aesthetically old, and may not fit all hand sizes. However, it's solid, hard, blunt, and using it makes you feel like a tank (or Master Chief, if you prefer) building the action and controlling it. I assure you, your fight will evolve!
