It works but I wouldn't choose it for fall protection. It's cheap, but you're better off spending $150 on one that you know will work. The steel is thin and light, inferior Chinese steel. No American steel. Clamping mechanisms work, but not the smoothest. A plus is that it is very light. The downside is that everything is steel, so if it's really good steel it must be heavy.
