Review on 🔆 Alla Lighting HB5 9007 LED Bulbs - 10000lm Dual High/Low Beam Forward Lighting, 6000K Xenon White - Super Bright TS-CR Replacement by Marquez Hinshaw

Applies to 98 Mercury Grand Marquis. The original bulbs are held in place with a serrated plastic ring that holds the bulb in the headlight housing. Thing is, you MUST reuse that ring or the headlights won't stay in the headlight. The problem is that you have to attach this ring to the headlight somehow, and that's not easy. Until I figured it out, I broke off 2 of the 3 pins on the right side ring. So I have to glue the light to the body. No big deal, easy fix. If you had to install them in my type of car, or probably every major Ford of the time - since they probably all have the same bulb and ring - do it. CAREFULLY slide the ring onto the base of the light, starting on the LED side. It fits with a slight wobble. THEN you can lock the light in place by attaching this ring to the headlight. This is not difficult because in my case the entire headlight comes out in 10 seconds. This gives you convenient access to the workspace. Otherwise they are HELL! i will give it to you far light. I doubt I'll ever use it as it's like an anti-aircraft searchlight. Throws far and is VERY bright. I will blind everyone. The fans are very quiet. They are almost inaudible. As in - standing next to them and with the hood open. Customization is very easy. TOO easy if you want my opinion. The base rotates very easily. I think the weight of the cable and the tension on it will always put the LEDs where they want to be and not where you put them. I think if you fine tune them at a certain position maybe glue them there. To be honest, as bright as they are, I don't think I'll be making any adjustments. I can't say anything about durability yet. Just put them in. A final word, if you have some type of bracket that holds the OEM bracket in place, it MUST be reused or it won't stay in place, there are no strings attached to that.
