1014- Bought a $7 LED timer from Revain and it works great. I bought a total of two strips. The other is still working. Adding a star.10/11 update and turning off the dimmer made the light work. 9/26 - the light will turn off after about 30 seconds. The return window is closed but I may be able to get a replacement. NOT RECOMMENDED. I've been using them for about two weeks now. Very easy to install, adhesive discs are very sticky. If you need to peel it off the surface, be sure to use a knife or razor or you will damage either the light or the surface! Something to know if you plan to use an on/off dimmer switch, it just mounts it in line first -value- wall socket > power switch, then light. You cannot place a switch between lights or at the end of a line. No need to use the power button, you can just plug and unplug it, but there is no dimming function. I liked the fact that I bought two 4-light garlands - I made a five-string and a three-string. The brightness seems to be the same for all. I've seen a complaint that the wire is soldered directly to the circuit board inside, I don't know if that's true or not, but these lights aren't designed to be moved. If the wire moves a lot I'm sure there will be a problem. The wires are very long, even most likely you will have to wrap them with electrical tape. I will update over time.
