Very good overall, also reads heavily smeared barcodes
I've been using this scanner for a few weeks now, the initial connection time is about 10 seconds, if you hold the trigger down for 3-5 seconds and release, it connects and is ready for use. Then a short press on the trigger is enough to scan any barcode. I have some barcodes that are difficult to read and my iPhone camera can't tell what the barcode was, whatever it will be (although it can take 3-5 seconds to press the shutter button before this happens ). Basically I am very satisfied with the scanner.
