Perfect for my purpose
I didn't buy this item to protect kids from furniture but to protect walls from my new wooden scratching posts. I was afraid that the slightest hesitation would damage the wall. Now that this product is installed, it cannot damage the wall even if the tree is swaying. Application was easy enough, although initially it was difficult to grab the protective strip over the adhesive. In less than 10 minutes the cats are back on their tree and I don't have to worry. This product does exactly what I bought it for. You can't always say that.
