I love this bag very much. I have bought so many backpacks and none of them have lasted long and fully met my needs. This is the best I have found after many hours of research and many failed purchases. I don't use it as a diaper bag although it would be great if I still need it or need it again one day but it's so well designed. The people who did this obviously put a lot of thought into their product. The side pockets I chose this bag for are roomy and hold drinks securely, including a large water bottle - even better than I expected when I ordered it. Has practical front and back pockets. It seems very well made and sturdy and I pack it daily (in the shipyard army) along with my uniform, boots and helmet. In addition, this bag meets the requirements for dark blue bags if made in black. It is absolutely gender neutral.
