Strong Gasoline Smell

I don't know if Kaytee found a new manufacturer or changed their recipe, but now they have a strong gasoline or garage smell. I mean STRONG. When I opened the packaging, I noticed the smell, which I still can't get rid of even after washing. They are also significantly inferior to the lava bar I bought a year ago with a new type of washer and screw that doesn't have the same durability.
