Doesn't detect fake ID, basically a $1000 barcode scanner. There are many applications that can be downloaded for free to scan IDs that will do what it does. Make sure you don't drop it because this company is charging $300 to replace a broken screen, our security system gave up on ours and it crashed and now it's useless without another $300 in one Investing in a cheap, flimsy barcode scanner. You'd better get a cheap phone with a tough case and just download the free app, our bar did that and it works better than this thing ever and won't break if dropped.
