I was annoyed that my last batteries had smaller diameter poles. A "discharged battery” incident occurred in the parking lot. Popped the hood and a quick shake cured the problem, but it told me I needed "medicine." As mentioned in the previous review, they are like butter. Pretty soft for metal and a bit more ID than OD of my posts. The problem is opening your old battery clamps that are large enough to fit the clamp. Worked on the positive pole. But no matter what I did for the negative terminal, I "continued to bend the butter". Well I solved this problem by holding the oil in my hand and using needle nose pliers to REALLY PEAR THE PIECE IN HALF. Then I slid the half onto the post, put the clamp on and tightened the nut with a ratcheting socket. DID! Not perfect, but definitely functional.
