I love my InstantPot DU060 and especially because with this lid it also functions as a 3-in-1 cooker. This lid lets me use the cooker in more ways. I have a 3-in-1 cooker and use it often, but could have saved the money if I'd bought the InstantPot first. My main goal with getting an electric pressure cooker was to easily can my garden produce. Most of the things I make can be canned by the water bath method that doesn't require high PSI, but having the big pot boiling away on the stove endlessly is super unappealing on hot summer days. The pressure cooker handles that chore for me now.I'll use the InstantPot for other things that take advantage of the pressure cooking function, of course, but after making lots of tomato sauce on the stovetop earlier this summer that splattered all over, the idea that I could use the cooker with this vented lid to do that in the future really sold me. For some slow cooking functions I don't want a vented lid, but for things like tomato sauce it's a requirement if you ever want the sauce to reduce. My 3-in-1 cooker doesn't have a vented lid which is why I was using the stovetop, all the time hating the mess and the constant attention required.Other reviewers said this lid couldn't be used with the slow cooker function, but the book that came with my model of InstantPot specifically said it could so of course I had at it and found it worked just fine. The book said the cooker's slow cook function could be used with the pressure cooker lid either sealed or vented or this optional glass lid. I could also have used the saute function on 'less' (simmer) to thicken the sauce, but that function only runs for 30 minutes before needing to be reset so I prefer using the slow cook function on 'more' (high) for a longer period. With the glass lid I can check on the sauce periodically to see how it's progressing and don't have to worry about any splatter on the cooker's lid or seal.The lid fits the pot perfectly as expected and adds extra functionality to the cooker. Sometimes after finishing a pressure cooking function I want to add some final ingredients to my dish and keep an eye on it as it finishes. With this lid, it's easy to do that. Great addition to the pressure cooker.
