I bought this camera just before my one month vacation. He took great pictures and was unexpectedly able to capture things in an unusual light that I didn't think he could handle. However, I had a few problems. I tried to get some shots of the cloaked creatures but the camera just couldn't focus. I tried different settings, but the lizards and bugs weren't patient enough to work with until I found a setting that allowed me to focus on a hard-to-see subject in close-up. I still haven't figured out how to do this and the included instructions didn't offer any help I could find for things like this. Another problem I had was that the camera seemed to go haywire at times. I turned on the view function and started scrolling through my photos and the camera turned on and exited view mode. Sometimes, no matter what I tried, it wouldn't let me see my photos. This problem resolves itself if I leave the camera off for a few hours. Then I would sometimes put it on the dial and take pictures and a menu describing the dial would appear on the screen and rotate through the settings without touching the dial. Sometimes he did it quickly. To stop him, I turned off the camera. When I turned it back on, this problem mysteriously resolved itself. But despite this strange behavior, I was happy with the shots that were taken, and if it weren't for the firmware-looking issue, I would wholeheartedly recommend the camera .
