Review on Gislaved Nord Frost 200 205/55 R16 94T winter by Boguslawa Krawczyk ᠌

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

I bought this tire almost in the middle of the season to replace the old and tired rubber, which I drove for almost 3 years (in winter). I decided to approach the choice of rubber thoroughly with a limited budget. I chose from different manufacturers and settled on Gislaved Nord Frost 200 tires. As a driver, my needs are as follows: 1. Good stability on the road in various temperature ranges. 2. Not noisy — since the previous rubber I had was very noisy and buzzed at high speeds and it seemed that the Boeing was taking off. 3. Low price. As you know, Gislaved belongs to the Continental concern, which has been on the market for quite a long time and has proven itself well, and of course my trust in Gislaved is quite justified, but at the same time, the cost of Gislaved nord frost 200 is significantly lower. According to my observations, the drawing is taken from the proven Continental IceContact HD model. 4. Balancing. I read reviews and most write that the rubber is very well balanced and there is no need to install a large amount of weight on the tire from the "showcase", later this was confirmed. 5. Deep pattern (asymmetrical) tread. Since I live in the Urals and our winters are very snowy and cold, and the roads are not always cleared, especially in the yards, there was a need for rubber with good cross-country ability. The rubber sipes are deep and elastic, which makes it easy to get out of deep snow and even drive on light off-road.

Pros
  • - stability - Quiet tyres. The spike is small, but the number of spikes is visually increased. -Price - well balanced - rowing well -there are side rubber hooks (it is easier to move over tram tracks and you feel more confident in a rut - asymmetric pattern does its job and the car behaves well in both longitudinal and transverse rolling. On sharp turns does not blow. -An additional groove for removing ice chips at the spike (of course, I can’t say how effective it is, but this is definitely a plus)
Cons
  • - The spike is very small and very short, although the shape is very interesting. The main problem that I have already encountered is the inconsistent handling on bare and even ice, because the spike is very short and does not work very effectively. But in the realities of our roads, it is very difficult to find clean and even ice, so this was not critical for me.
