Review on ๐Ÿ”ฉ Dewalt DCD771C2 Compact Cordless Lithium Ion Drill by Jay Maryland

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Light, comfortable, good price!

Excellent cordless drill for home use. I was very impressed the first time I used one of these that belonged to a friend. The first thing you will notice is its lightness! These lithium batteries are a smash hit compared to traditional LMWH batteries. The handle is very ergonomic and the controls are easily accessible. Due to the low weight of the battery, the drill feels a bit heavy, but you get used to it quickly. The Jacobs pickup is known for its quality. Haven't tested the spout on mine but I'm sure it's decent for a hand drill. Also new to me is the illuminated trigger. I've never had a drill that lights up your work when the trigger is pulled. This is a very good thing when you're working in tight, dark spaces like basements, attics, sheds with no power, etc. It comes with two batteries and a SUPER convenient carry case. Normally I wouldn't get upset about a stupid bag, but I'll tell you, it's cute. A drill, TWO batteries and a charger fit in easily. The only complaint about this drill bit is that, I repeat, it doesn't have a spare bit holder at all! Personally I was VERY disappointed with this as I used this feature extensively on my last drill that had two. DeWalt really got it wrong here. If it had a bit holder, it would be a near-perfect drill!
