Review on πŸ”§ QIACHIP Universal Wireless Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit: 3 Speeds, 4 Timing Setting, Fan Pendant Lamp Remote Control Transmitter and Receiver for Home, Office, Hotel, Restaurant by Chris Weber

Works but not 100% satisfied.

Works but not 100%. It's too big for my fan case so I had to modify it to fit outside and next to the fan. I drilled holes in the case to attach it to the ceiling. The cables are too short and could have been a few inches longer for more mounting options. The loud beeping every time you press a button on the remote control is annoying. Tried all fixes and still beeps. The fan speed is much slower than before installation. honey is low And tall as average. I even disabled the lighting option to see if more power is redistributed to the fan wire. Update: After more experimentation, I found that when the pull switch broke, the old setting was left low. I opened up the pull switch fan section and found a way to tamper with the broken switch to get it in the high position. Now the fan works fine with the remote settings. So before installing this control kit, make sure the fan speed is set to high. Also, if the parameter is left in the off position, the fan will not operate with the controller until the setting is set. The black box is getting hotter than I'd like. The interior design feels too cheap, fueling my fears that it will burn through. I had a bad fan circuit and was hoping this would be the best option. 3 stars because it solved my original problem, but it's not worth it. I paid $14 for it. I can't return it because I "damaged" the plastic case. I have some exposed beams in the ceiling so installing it from the outside wasn't difficult, but now this chunky black box sticks out.
