This item was perfect for transforming two types of T9 ceiling lights in my house. Extremely bright and the difference is very clear. The description says the color temperature is 6000K, but it feels like it's in the mid 5000s because the white doesn't appear "bluish" like real 6000K LEDs. I've converted 4 lights with ease . Easy retrofit, just make sure you turn off the main switch before attempting this! The color of the connecting wires does not matter since it is LED. I've tried both. I even connected a GROUND cable to a device which resulted in a 1/2 second delay when powering on. but that is before the conversion of the other "connected" bulb which was still a T9 fluorescent tube. CAUTION when handling! The wires are thin and can break at solder joints. I separated the power supply from the LED ring to avoid accidentally mixing them up. UPDATE: The power supply only lasted 2 years with typical bedroom use! Rating downgraded from 5 to 3 stars.
