Review on LG 27UP850-W: Borderless, HDR Display with Height & Pivot Adjustment, Anti-Glare Coating by Adam Torres

I bought this laptop with my own $$ and used it for exactly 24 hours before deciding to return it. My current setup is a 2019 16" MacBook Pro + 2018 Windows 10 laptop, both connected to KVM, which is connected to an older ASUS monitor via HDMI. This setup works without any problems, except that I have a few cables on my desk I thought this LG UP850 monitor was an upgrade from my ASUS VW246 monitor but this LG monitor had too many issues.First good part: I love the ergonomic stand it's perfect easy to adjust in every way I wish ,every monitor would have one.The display is bright and clear.-C with the cable provided by LG, the monitor didn't recognize the MBP when connected to the Apple cable.2) It emits a strong blue light, I had never eye strain with ASUS even running it for 24 hours but with this LG my eyes started to dry out after 2+ hours.Windows laptop is connected via HDMI I couldn't find a way to enable read mode with one attached to USB-C to activate a closed MacBook. Finally, the bad news: The monitor flickers once every 10 minutes when connected to a KVM switch with HDMI. Never had this problem with an ASUS display. Both of my laptops were set to display 4K at 60Hz. I've worked with LG support to find some settings that might work and lowered the resolution to 1920x1080 on my Windows laptop, but the problem persists. At 4K, the color displayed on the LG was a far cry from that of the MacBook. Final verdict: I couldn't justify the $550 price tag for this monitor. My biggest concern was screen flickering when connected via HDMI and eye strain from prolonged use. This monitor might be good for watching videos, but for typical home work like coding and reading documents, this monitor isn't the best choice.
