Review on 📠 Zoom 3090-00-00 V.92 / V.44 USB External Controllerless Fax Modem: High-Speed Connectivity and Easy Installation by Marco Carpenter

After reading other reviews I was a bit skeptical about buying a Zoom external USB modem 3090-00-00. But I made the purchase and have only had great success with the modem. I installed the drivers on my laptop (Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D 8800, Win XP Home) and PC (EMachines Tower 533id, Win 98SE). Connection speed is excellent on both machines (45 Kbps), although I have a bad phone line. Once I replace the old cable on my phone line with a better one, I should get a connection speed of over 50 Kbps. Just follow the advice and recommendations of other reviewers and you won't be disappointed. Also make sure you are using the Windows XP user driver available on Zoom's website and not the one on the CD that came with the modem.
