This review is for the 13.3-inch 2k (2560x1600) model. It's a well built monitor and it comes in a nice case that doubles as a stand. I don't know if that would be enough to protect it when traveling, I'd probably put two pieces of cardboard around it in a soft case. Pros: - MacBook pros see it as a display port monitor so they don't overheat (Im (Compared to various adapters that pop up as USB billboards.) One thing is worth it. - 3 inputs (2 working USB-C / Display ports and HDMI-SDR image can be pretty good after calibration (see values for my device below) - DisplayPort type power adapter and USB-C cable included Neutral: - Sound is ok, can be noisy but too thin and to be expected for the size and price although there is room for bigger/better speakers - HDMI port is an outdated mini type, not a good reason to choose if considering micro HDMI has been the norm for small devices for at least 10 years they give you a male cable and you can buy a female cable cheap enough there is room for a gender sized port if the inputs were in reverse order , they are now, but at this price I'm pretty sure they reuse the input board from other models - With the case open in the standing position, the front of the monitor looks a little exposed as it's n instead of glass only a matt foil is available. But at this price, that's to be expected. Bad: - Out-of-the-box monitor is very inaccurate in colors. With a predefined color temperature of 6500k, it measures the gray point at 7500k, and while the primary colors are okay, the secondary colors are far behind - an average dE of 6.72 with a maximum of 12.06. With a predefined color temperature of 9300k, it measures over 11500k – an average dE of 24.24 with a maximum of 39.81. There is a low blue light mode, which at medium setting (2) changes the predefined 9300k profile to 6500k, but with a lot of inaccuracy as it boosts the green channel instead of the red and makes everything look very greenish. The average dE is over 70. Luckily the colors can be corrected - switch to a custom color and set R115 G118 B118 and Tint 49. This gives an average dB of 0.53 with a maximum of 0.90 for the SDR signal. You can get a dE of 0.52 with a maximum of 0.86 with R125 G128 B129 and tint 49, but this setting has more variation in the gamma profile than the first. Both results are pretty good results considering how few controls you have access to. Ugly: - The monitor stretches any input signal to the edges of the screen (16:10) without preserving the aspect ratio, so if you feed it a TV signal (16:9), for example from a FireTV or Roku flash drive, the picture will be distorted. There is no option in the menu to do the scaling correctly. I have several 16:10 monitors and all but this one keep the aspect ratio and letterbox format. Even though the monitor supports HDR input (HDR10 to be precise), the output looks terrible. The color profiles are thrown out the window, as are the brightness and contrast controls. The picture is too greenish and there is no detail in the dark areas. If you disable HDR in your monitor's settings but still send it an HDR signal, you'll see good shadow detail but really burnt out highlights and washed out colors. I'm sure this can be fixed with a firmware update if the device allows it, but I checked the ARZOPA website and it doesn't mention any firmware updates. And while the monitor may not perform equally well with all advertised features, if you plan on limiting your usage to a laptop/PC with a USB-C display port. The option of an alternate mode is a good buy, especially if you have a colorimeter and can calibrate it.
