The unit is ALL plastic and the lamp housings are sealed with a wire. Not top quality but so far it works fine (installed a month) After 6 months of installation I unplugged the power cord from the case. It did not rub or move because it was attached to an existing tourniquet. just a flaw of the product. I have contacted the seller but no response yet The seller has responded and replaced the lamp.
