The Kobalt saw comes with a stop pin. All you have to do is loosen the pin, insert it into the guard, and then tighten the pin. It's stable and fits well. Sometimes Frankenstein has to. If you bought a saw without a fence, measure the fence slot. If it's half an inch or slightly narrower, it should fit this gap fence.
