Review on Dakota Alert M538-HT MURS Wireless VHF Transceiver: License Free Handheld 2-Way Radio for Multi Use Radio Service (MURS) by Mike Steeg

I bought another pair of radios in addition to the pair I received last year. I originally got them because others I've worked with had them. I like that they use a frequency that most people don't use. (virtually no crosstalk) I have complimented this purchase with a pair of Dakota Alert infrared alerts. Now I can chat with my friends and get notifications about people coming to our neighborhood. They all run on AA batteries and the radios come with rechargeable batteries and a mains charger. The only thing that worries me? I wish the headphone/mic jack was better.
