feels more like 40 mmHg

After carrying my twin girls for over 8 months my leg varicose went worse. In 2014 I had some laser varicose procedure done on my left leg. That time my doc told me that my recovery would need to be done with Compression tights of 40mmHg. No other option. Little I knew that time that those stockings is also pricy. It was on doc discounted sale for $100 plus tax and insurance wouldn't cover it. I needed to wear them during a day and sleep in for 2 weeks and then use them as a maintenance. Many years later after stop using them my varicose started to bother me again and I remembered how good it felt using them on a walks or around house. So I decided to give it a try again and to avoid another surgery. So, I came across these pair. They claimed to be 20-30mmHg which is supposed to be at least 10mmHg less than my old pair that doc prescribed. But for my surprise they didn't feel any less compressed, I would say more actually. And I know for sure how these compression stockings should feel. Sometimes these socks could have a temporary manufacture odd smell, I didn't notice any smell as I open with this. I really liked the color actually. As there 50 shades of gray, so beige could have all kinda tonnes/undertones and I do love this color. Its straight beige. It's kinda modern and its match my skin when I get some sunshine on it. I never used open toe before and I thought I would have a weird feeling but I actually liked that. I feel not so claustrophobic in my foot area and as cramped. They are very secured and tight around ankle area. I have wide feet and from picture you could see how good they compressing my feet. My feet much wider naturally. :) I don't sleep in them though. I do not wear them everyday but since I purchased them a few weeks ago I use them mainly when I on my feet all day doing chores, laundry, cooking, cleaning. I have big 2 story house and I on my feet all day long. So, those days when I remember to wear them I feel I giving myself a favor. You defiantly need give yours a grace time to get used to them. It's something that you need to stick for a couple days but you will thank yourself later. Every time I wear them I feel less fatigue and I feel they just make me move around without paying a price for it in bed time with pains. I didn't wear them on my walks because I need to find a good, maybe baggy pair of joggers because they tighten my upper thighs so strong, it makes my butt looks like I put a silicone in it. But if you looking for that type of effect go for it. :) They matte, not shiny, not see through. I think every mommy regardless varicose or not should use some type of compression tights in life, its just makes life so much easier and less stressed. We are always hard on ourself and care givers and forget about our own needs. Also, I would suggest, if you never wore high compression tights before, to watch YouTube. I was very frustrated the 1st time I tried my after the surgery, but when you scale it you will more willing to put them on.
