These duvets are so soft and comfortable that they can be machine washed. I love her! I bought myself a Twin XL in turquoise-purple with matching bed linen and I also bought my brother a Twin XL in gray with matching bed linen. One of my quilts had a few lost threads, but I didn't really care. I thought it was great for me as a college student, but when my grandfather came to visit he borrowed my blanket and he liked it so much he made me order another in a different color and size (queen). . So I would say they are great for people and kids of all ages. Delivery took a while but it was worth the wait.
