I bought these when they were on sale. A few days ago I accidentally blew a low beam bulb on my 2011 Honda Pilot. I considered LEDs instead of the premium halogens I was using. If you don't know, expensive halogen bulbs are brighter than cheap ones. They accomplish this by burning hotter and are therefore short-lived. I usually get 7-9 months for low beam, longer for high beam because it's used less often. I use cheap bulbs in my daytime running lights that use the same type of bulb as the high beam, but they seem to last forever, probably because they run at a lower voltage than the high beam. My fog lights use the same bulb as the low beam and I rarely use them. Now that you have the details of the car, let's move on to the LEDs. First, let me say that I've done a lot of research on switching from halogen to LED. Many people advise against switching to LED if you have reflector bulbs (like mine). The reason for this is that the reflector is designed for the very specific dimensions and light outputs of halogen lamps. They warn that the LEDs are not "focused" by the reflector, which means they dazzle oncoming drivers and cannot illuminate the road like a halogen lamp. Also, there are studies you can find (usually from companies that sell very expensive LED bulbs) that dispute the warnings. These sellers claim that their lamps are as close in design to halogen lamps as possible. Many of the more expensive bulbs have a feature that allows you to rotate the bulb so that it aligns exactly like the halogen bulb in your particular car. This may be necessary to allow the reflector to focus the light properly. I'm not going to replace actual research you can find elsewhere or argue with their findings, I'm just going to tell you what I've seen myself. I decided to try these lamps for several reasons. First, they were very inexpensive (they sold cheaper than cheap halogen bulbs), and second, because they share the same design as many of the previously mentioned expensive LED bulbs that seem to get high customer reviews. The lamps are very similar in size and shape to halogen lamps and are installed in the same way. There I found evidence of the low construction costs of these lamps. They don't have a "stretch ring" that even inexpensive halogen lamps from all well-known manufacturers have. They fit well but when you screw them in they don't seem to lock. I was concerned that pulling on the wires might cause them to twist out of their fully "fixed" position, but this doesn't seem to have happened with normal use since I installed them. I have seen this feature in detail on many other LED bulbs and will look for it when purchasing my next set of bulbs. The light output is good, but not outstanding. The color of the bulbs on the outside of the car is the same as on new cars that are factory-fitted with LEDs. When entering the car, the light seems to have a very slight blue tint compared to halogens. I think this is quite normal with LEDs. Let me tell you, this isn't like the blue police lights coming your way. The light is whiter than the yellowish hue of halogens and hence they appear slightly blue (again, do your own research and I think you'll see what I mean). I think if all my lights are replaced with LEDs I will see less color. The beam shape is similar to that of halogens. The reflector seems to be able to focus the light well onto the road. There are no problems with oncoming drivers. I drove in a different car in front of the pilot and apart from the color you wouldn't notice the difference. Now for the cons. These bulbs are generally not very bright. I'm not disappointed as the cheap halogen bulbs aren't as bright as the more expensive ones so I feel like I got what I paid for. In fact, I'll probably buy the same bulb to match my daytime running lights the next time they go on sale. I don't plan on keeping them as low beams. I can replace them with the bulbs I currently have in my fog lights as they are expensive halogen bulbs that I have been buying for years. Next time I buy LEDs I will look for more expensive (and brighter) bulbs with the same design. I hope the brighter bulbs in the pilot headlights still focus properly and don't cause problems for oncoming drivers because they are brighter. Sealight has a range of different lamps at different prices and their appearance fully explains the differences (including lumens) for different lamps. I would have no problem trying other lights from them to replace my halogen lights with LEDs. Can't comment on durability yet as I've only had it for about a month, but I'll definitely update this review if I have any issues.
