Review on Okami Knives 8-inch Japanese Damascus Stainless Steel Chef Knife - High Carbon Sharp Kitchen Cutlery, Lightweight & Ergonomic Gyuto by Claudia Bryant

First of all, this is my first quality knife. For the last 10 years I have been cooking at home as a hobby and decided it was time to have a professional knife. In my opinion Okami was the best quality for the price and level of prep I do. I did not remain indifferent, this knife is great. It was sharp straight away and perfect after a few passes through the Stein 6000. It took me some time to go through a lot of knives, read reviews, product tests, customer comments and watch youtube videos. After all, Okami was a bit unknown but had all the qualities of more expensive competitors that were flaunted as must-haves. With this particular knife, the balance is great, the handle fits my hand perfectly. With plenty of room for different handles for different cuts, the blade has a nice thin kerf and of course the knife is just great. In the end it was a good choice and I will order the 6" utility knife quickly and look forward to the next offer from Okami. Update 06/30/2015: I received my 6" knife a few days ago and it is no less fantastic Knife Great for a variety of tasks and slicing fruit/veg Great work by Okami Update 8/10/2016: I have just purchased and received my 7 inch Doshi Santoku knife and it is an amazing knife. Razor sharp like other Okami knives out of the box Balance is very good, almost better than my Okami Nakama but not quite (Nakama is by far the best knife I've ever used). Great quality product and they have great customer service if for any reason you don't like the knife they will make it right and be able to get back to you right away. Hell, they'll email you once you've bought the knife to let you know! , but it will be the next one and I'm sure it will be just as good! Thanks Okami, great work!
