Review on 3Dman Extruder Creality Upgraded Aluminum by Pete Norris

Revainrating 1 out of 5

$15 upgrade, well worth it.

Product Quality: This assembly is well built, but take some time to inspect the part of the gear that engages the filament. If it doesn't match the product image, exchange it. Quality control isn't great, but you can easily get another one thanks to Prime. I've had three from different vendors so far, I've only had to send one back. Assembly: No instructions. The new block is installed in the reverse order to the removal of the old block, although there are functional and visual differences, the assembly is the same. Usage: Calibrating your extruder is an important part of any 3D printer. When using a standard stepper motor, this build has always responded well to 141 steps/mm.

Pros
  • All-metal aluminum alloy, high-quality double-gear extrusion, stable and durable.
Cons
  • Available in black only
