This is my third DVD recorder but my first Panasonic brand. At the time of this review, Panasonic's performance is far superior to the previous two brands I've owned. The dynamics are very different from the previous two brands, which will prompt you to seek help from Panasonic Tech Services. The manual requires a lot of study, but the results are worth the effort. The manuals page and font size is larger than most manuals, which is very valuable if you are over 80 years old. Technical writers should have spent more time developing product features such as: Remote control which is as important to me as the recorder itself see page 60 of the 86 page manual. I copied the page and glued the gum to the inside of the manual. Panasonic's parts and 1 year lifespan, most manufacturers only have 90 days lifespan. So far I am very happy with the EZ37VRFS in Tucson.
