I’m a structural engineer and fabricator, this carrier is very beefy. It has 1/8” thick steel ramp, tie down bars, and angle iron bracing welded underneath. The receiver tube is 3/16” thick, the wheel chock and gusset plate are 1/4” thick. Mine has a weld missing on one corner of the angle iron under framing, and the weight of this carry is very heavy to lift, but doable for middle aged man, not doable by the wife. The sticker warning not to go over 45 mph is rediculious, no doubt in my mind this thing will hold my DR650 at 80 mph but I’m under the 600lb limit. Ramp needs skate board grip tape stuck to it for better traction.
