I really wanted people to like this product and was hoping it lived up to the positive reviews. After receiving, dissatisfying and re-reading the reviews, the trend was clear - the negative reviews relate to real humidity measurements and how little Venta affects them. The positives note how quiet it is and how much better people feel after using it. *It does not purify the air - look for other (off-Amazon) reviews of this system that measure the change in air quality from this system. . They literally say the device works about the same as "no air purifier at all". I'm not exaggerating.* The fan speed is too slow to circulate air in even a modestly sized bedroom - wick humidifier manufacturers aren't stupid, they don't want to build a noisy system, it's just that the airflow is needed to humidify evenly and effectively.* The fact that it uses water much more slowly than wicked models also says a lot - it just doesn't wick moisturizer into the air.* On the plus side, a little white noise can help you fall asleep . I would say this device is as good as having nothing, but on par with it a) it costs money b) uses electricity c) requires maintenance d) requires regular use of weird Venta chemicals
