Absolutely normal. in child seats

It was easy to install and mostly comfortable to drive. I use it with my 2 year old and she enjoys the rides. Since the child seat is closer to the bike seat, I have to keep my legs a little "wider" (open) to avoid bumping into my daughter's body when peddling, so bidding can be a bit awkward at first. when you focus on balance, center of gravity, etc. On the other hand, placing the child seat next to the bike seat gives a little more confidence as the child will feel safer riding between you. Also, due to the height/position of my bike's top bar (which this unit rests on), my daughter sits a little higher, especially with my helmet on, so again it can be a bit awkward to lean forward to grab the bike. . Handles with a high position of the child. This is not the child seat's fault, but something to consider depending on the type/style/shape of your bike. My only real issue is the leg ties (where the kid rests with their feet). I would like them to be a little larger/wide so that the child can hold the foot better. As they are placed higher I'm not sure how long I can use this device (age limit) as I could see that using this device with a bigger child will probably be a bit uncomfortable on their legs/knees. leaning forward and possibly feeling crushed. Overall I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it. PS, the first ride can be a bit intimidating. A family member asked "where is the seat belt". lol. Once you get a good riding pace with a solid swing, everything just works. However, you should always be aware of your child's legs and position in the seat, including their hands on the included upright bar post.
