Since the beginning of the pandemic, I've been using the old version (G1) as the main light for video calls. I love the old one so much I bought this new one for my wife so I can do a comparison. In the attached picture you can see the new one on the left and the old one on the right. This version is just as good, but with some added benefits: it's smaller, comes with a silicone diffuser, includes a magnet for attaching to metal surfaces, and supports a smartphone app that connects via Bluetooth. I haven't used this app myself as I use it within range all the time, but I see potential use when the light is in the background or out of range and the app could be useful. Since I haven't used it, I don't know how well it works. The light itself is more than enough for video calls and is very portable. Highly recommended.
