I bought SMALL because Medium was too big for my dog: chest 21, length 17 and neck 14. He is an elongated Chihuahua. He hated Wednesday. First I put a sweater on him and then this coat and it was still big. So I took it the next size down (small). It didn't even fit around his chest. Only he wasn't wearing a sweater and was anything but small. I like the colors and that's why I bought it. I think the dimensions are wide. I will be using the larger one for my other dog who has a broader chest and doesn't seem to mind having a bigger butt and more hair. But my chi needs something as the weather here is 10 degrees and expected to drop to minus.
