Item was well packaged to avoid damage. Initially the lid felt too small for a keychain because when I tried to snap the lid on it either popped off the other side or wouldn't stay together. I ended up fully securing one end and then used a protective piece of plastic and pliers to secure the cap on the opposite end. Key fob holds up well, no complaints. I haven't tried removing the cover so I don't know if this is a problem or not. One thing that takes some getting used to is that the switch button isn't as visible with the cap on, but that's not really a problem once you get used to it.
