I originally bought these to wear on my head when sleeping to protect my hair from the pillowcase. I can't say they do the job very well because they slide right off, but I still find different ways to tie them to make them more tight around my hair. Also, they look really cute and even my boyfriend looks so cute and he rarely notices such things. They don't stretch, they are more elastic so when pulled taut over the head the fabric may stretch or warp slightly. I don't plan on wearing them outside the house, so I'm not too concerned about that. I've also washed and dried them several times and so far they don't roll or pill.
