I like these stools now that I have assembled them correctly. I went online to find out how to unlock an air riser. I had to push really, really hard. My grandkids love the stools but they don't weigh enough to lower the stools once raised. I sit on the stools to lower them. Wow! The stools are surprisingly stable considering that when folded up you are sitting very high on a very narrow axis. And adults also like to lift and lower the chair. I think we are all children at heart. They are also very comfortable. And you don't feel like you're about to fall. The seat holds your butt and is not slippery. I've always loved the look of these stools and now they're in my newly renovated traditional kitchen. My house is almost 100 years old and these chairs take up very little space which is very important when remodeling an old kitchen. You are the perfect accent.
