My ex had a cat that would piss on everything and mark the sheets, towels on the floor, carpets, curtains, everything. drove me crazy The thing really works, removes the smell 100%. I really had to make sure I was using enough wash and letting the wash soak for a few hours during the cycle and pouring it directly onto the problem areas also helped. I have a nose like a bloodhound and it eliminates odors 100%. I don't know what I would do without this thing. Wonderful! It had to be exactly like that, it had to be in the laundry to be washed. I tried washing carpet alone in the laundry and it didn't work. It probably works on carpet, but just saying that for me I had to make sure I was using one that was actually made for washing.
