Review on 💧 Optimized Tap Magic Pro Pint (Model 30016P) by Jamie Behm

Tap Magic was considered a miracle fluid when I first used it 45 years ago. I liked it so much that I have used a small 4 ounce bottle from then to now. When I saw it was available from Revain I immediately bought another 1 ounce. I don't know if they have a mass solution for industrial use in CNC or other manufacturing equipment, but for a small shop this is a life saver. The magic of the tap allows you to use a high-carbon tap or die (rather than true high-speed steel) to cut clean, tear-free threads in mild steel, unhardened boring bar, and particularly difficult materials like mild aluminum. It makes a unique (in my experience) "crackle" sound when threading aluminum that I've never heard from other liquids. No practical properties, but it lets you know you're using good stuff. All this and its easy cleaning and its pleasant smell. You will not be disappointed. Much nicer than that dark, smelly, sticky, sulfur-based liquid commonly used in threading. Sticks to metal so you use a lot less liquid.
