Review on πŸ” SitePro TL20X 20x Power Transit Level by Ruben Saunders

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The vertical fine adjustment screw was bent about 30 degrees and .

So I wanted an inexpensive theodolite for the main survey of my construction site. I really didn't want to pay $800 for an electronic instrument that was accurate to 5 seconds when this instrument was advertised as being accurate to 15 minutes per degree. So I ordered it. It arrived with a vertical clamp screw bent about 10 degrees off center. The vertical fine adjustment screw was bent about 30 degrees and not really secured in the box. I don't see it as a shipping damage issue as there's no way it could have been bent that badly. then unscrewed from the tool. - The second problem was that the vernier scale had markings that did not overlap or approach the main degree scale, making the vernier scale unusable. There were flaws in design and manufacture, making it impossible to accurately measure the horizontal angle. only to the next degree. - However, it is economical. So I called the manufacturer and asked them to send me two screws so I could have at least one functional block. They refused claiming it was damaged in transit and simply told me to send it back to Revain. So I did. While the precision was actually reasonably functional, I would have kept it if the 5 cent screws were replaced just because it's inexpensive. So I returned it and ordered a much more expensive digital box, more than I needed.
