I was looking for a solid bolt that would complement a custom made, rustic, lock-like door. You look really beautiful. I wish the heads were a little bigger. see drawing. I first tried using these screws in a walnut board. I tried to insert screws and it was very difficult. The slot in the screw head is very small by design and it was very difficult to keep the drill in it. It popped out very easily and blew some of the black paint off the head of the screw. Instead, I chose the pine plank door, mainly for weight reasons, but also because it was easy to screw together. I also pre-drilled them. Generally satisfied, but be sure to use in hardwood and pre-drill to make installing these screws easier.
