Review on πŸŽ™οΈ OM Digital Solutions DS-40 Digital Voice Recorder: Capture Crisp and Clear Audio with Cutting-Edge Features by Brad Mastermind

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good voice recorder!

Most of the reviews on this model are very positive and deserved and I agree that this is a very good voice recorder. Due to the good quality of the recording, it definitely deserves attention. If you're not expecting this recorder to do everything, including peeling potatoes, then you'll be pretty happy with its performance. One thing that is most often overlooked is the little "lock" on the power button. Slide it into the locked position, and whichever button you press, recording will continue until it "unlocks" and the stop button is pressed. Since I'll be carrying this little trinket in someone's pocket, jacket, or phone case, this is a nice feature. It wouldn't be nice if you accidentally press the button and lose the recording! My only criticism of the device is that it doesn't record in MP3 format. I knew this when I bought it (and I have three) and I'm still very happy with it, but now I'm one step less at the computer to burn my recordings onto a CD or flash drive with a little editing . And yes, I have the software and everything I need to get the job done. If it wasn't for that I would give this recorder six stars. Other features and information are included in all other reviews, so there is no need to rehash everything here. If you want to record a person, use an external microphone. If you plan to record a "room" lecture, do not touch it while recording. As others have pointed out, it's sensitive to noise. Good battery life! All in all a very good recorder!
