Review on πŸ“· Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 AF APO DG OS HSM Lens for Canon DSLRs: Powerful Telephoto Zoom with Optical Stabilization by Black Holstead

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good deal for the price, especially used WAITING! No it's not

UPDATE: I downgraded my rating to 2 stars a long time ago but didn't explain why. I broke this lens a few months after buying it. The second used a Sigma, a Canon mount to do this for me. Won't buy again.===Delivery was quick, no problems, and the rest of the items (bag, a couple of filters) were in good condition. Lens details are still being worked on. As it is used, there is no manual, but I found a PDF file online that explains two different operating system settings. There's no real wear and tear on the lens and seems to refocus well unless it's a change from minimum exposure length to near infinity, but that's to be expected. Focuses fairly quickly in low light. Still working on usability etc. Seems like the optimal distance is around 200-340mm. Of course, the other end of a longer zoom falls off a bit, unless it's very expensive. Nothing unexpected for a lens of this price, so everything is fine. It looks like the operating system is working well so far. I shot handheld at 1/60 shutter speed, medium zoom. Here is my second set of test shots. This is T2i, mostly in medium/high quality format, although some of the later formats are in large/high quality. Since I will be upgrading to at least a T4i with a larger photo size and a step up processor, this will also solve some of the issues. [.]
