Had trouble finding the right thread for a project I was working on. (it wasn't the right thread) although it's not the screw's fault. Thing is, my local hardware store buys junk screws and the ones that actually had them won't work because they have burrs. This led me to believe that I needed 48 threads per inch instead of 40 per inch and was wasting money on it. However, they strike me as good quality screws and I am constantly on projects and will use them.
