The SWOPT dust mop is part of an interchangeable system that makes a great deal of sense: You have one high quality, sturdy handle, and a set of different cleaning heads (e.g., angled broom, cotton mop, push broom, microfiber duster, etc.)) for various jobs that you can switch easily as needed.I really liked the ergonomics of this cleaning system. I've had mops before where you've had to screw the cleaning head on, and I would frequently be annoyed when the head would unscrew itself in middle of a mopping job. With the SWOPT system, when you insert the handle into the cleaning head, it latches firmly and isn't going to come out accidentally. I'm also a fan of the idea of minimizing clutter by having only one handle (or, more likely, two handles--I prefer to keep a separate handle out in the garage for the heavy push broom) and multiple cleaning heads, rather than trying to keep a bunch of different mops, brooms, dusters, etc. straight in my pantry. Last but not least, I really like removable and washable microfiber dust mop heads in general for cleaning hardwood floors; they pick up everything, cleanly, usually in one pass, unlike a more traditional broom with corn or plastic bristles. The microfiber pads are easy to remove and throw in the washer for quick cleaning. (I recommend buying a spare pad so you can always have a clean one ready to go.)That being said, the 24" dust mop head that I reviewed is too big, in my opinion, for ordinary household use. If you have a mansion with huge ballrooms or foyers that have large swathes of uninterrupted floors that need to be swept, the 24" mop head is a good choice. But in my house--and, I'm wagering, most people's houses--there simply isn't that much empty floor space around, and trying to maneuver the 24" mop head around furniture and in tight spaces is an exercise in futility. For this reason, I'd recommend getting the 18" dust mop head instead.There was one other feature of the system I found fairly annoying. The handle is shipped with a large adhesive sticker wrapped around it, pretty much at the exact location where you'd want to wrap your hand around it while sweeping. If you try to remove the sticker, though, it leaves behind an irritating sticky residue that takes forever to get off. (Side rant to manufacturers: I understand needing to have stickers on your products. But there *are* stickers that peel cleanly off, and I'm guessing I'm not the only consumer who would gladly pay the 25 cents or whatever extra such stickers cost, so please, could you switch to a more user-friendly sticker?)
